Located on the edge of the bayou was the shell of a 100-year-old cabin — a simple wood frame structure with hand-made trusses. The cabin has been stripped — the two sides facing the bayou are now totally open — added is a steel sub-structure painted red. One roof plane is extended to form a north facing clerestory. An exposed stud wall is now an arbor for flowering vines.
